A great man of his time

Benjamin Franklin a wise man

He was a man who was a magnificent inventor he invented the lightning rod, he created a stove that he named after his self invented his own bifocals. He was one of the twelve  founding father. He was also the oldest person to sign the constitution at the age of eighty one years of age. He didn't agree with some part if the constitution he said in his speech about constitution but he did approve some of the things in the U.S constitution .

When he died he said to his daughter “ a dying man can do nothing easy.” He was also one of the three men to sign the peace treaty with England to end the revolutionary war. He revised over Thomas Jefferson’s writing of the declaration of independence and he also added some of his own ideas to the declaration of independence. For many years he worked as the postmaster for the colonies. He started writing more when his brother James didn't write for his newspaper so he fled to Philadelphia

Benjamin Franklin was when franklin went to France he was trying to get the french to help the patriots get back their freedom he was successful at getting them to help. He wasn't like George Washington who fought in the war he was helping by getting other countries to help the patriots win the war.

being at better nation and getting our freedom back

independence

Think about all the elements that had to happen so the Patriots could win their freedom?

1 thing that helped them win their freedom was that they needed enough soldiers that had skill to fight to beat the british troops. The british had about 8,000 troops and the patriots had about 8,445 troops the british soldiers had more experience than the american troops. Plus the british  had the british navy to help them. So the british had a lot more troops than the unskilled patriot soldiers they were just out number in troops.

George Washington was lucky they had the french to help them out and they brought to help the patriots 7,800 soldiers and the french also had warships to help the Patriots and the french surrounded the british troops and their leader surrendered. Another thing that happened so the patriots could win the war or that they needed a good leader that wouldn’t give up on them when they knew they didn't have the supplies or the skill to win but

George Washington was a wise man and decided to attack the british soldiers at a certain time when the british didn't know it was coming. Another thing was that they needed food and shelter and clothing when it was snowing out. The most important thing that i think they really needed was a good leader because without a good leader they could lead you into a bad situation and they if there bad they probably can't get the right kind of help to win the war.

Would you have fought in the revolutionary war or supported the war in other ways ?

I would fight in the revolutionary war because were fighting for or right to govern ourselves. Not have to pay taxes for everything and get a person that was smart and made correct decisions. that would  lead us to be a better nation.

liberty bell

The bell arrived in Philadelphia in August 1752 because the metal was too brittle it cracked during a test strike and had to be recast twice

The bells rung to the reading of the declaration of independence.

After World War II, the city allowed the national park service to take custody of the bell
